New Student Orientation

Welcome to the Community Health Nurses Training College! The orientation programme is designed to help new students transition smoothly into college life. During orientation, you will learn about the college, meet your fellow students and instructors, and get all the information you need to succeed in your studies.

Orientation Schedule
Day 1 - Welcome & Registration
  • Arrival and accommodation allocation
  • Collection of student ID cards and orientation materials
  • Campus tour (Sakasaka and Wamale campuses)
  • Welcome address by the Principal

Day 2 - Academic Orientation
  • Overview of academic programmes and curriculum
  • Introduction to course registration process

  • E-learning platform demonstration
  • Introduction to clinical and community practice
Day 3 - Student Life & Welfare
  • Introduction to SRC and student governance
  • Health services and counselling resources
  • Accommodation and campus life information
  • Financial matters: fees, payment, and financial aid
  • College rules, regulations, and code of conduct
Day 4 - Community & Team Building
  • Team-building activities and ice-breakers
  • Community service orientation
  • Inter-class games and social activities

  • Bedding (mattress cover, bedsheets, pillow)

  • Clothing (including white uniform materials)
  • Cooking utensils (for self-catering students)

Important Reminders
  • Orientation is mandatory for all new students. Failure to attend may affect your registration.
  • Report to the Sakasaka Campus on the date specified in your admission letter.
  • Students who fail to report within two weeks of the designated date may forfeit their admission.
  • Keep all your documents safe and make photocopies before submitting originals.
  • Contact the Student Affairs Office if you have any questions about orientation.
