Welcome to CHNTC

Established on 1st May 1960, the Community Health Nurses' Training College (CHNTC) is Ghana's premier institution for community health nursing education. Founded with just 20 students, the college has grown into a respected centre of excellence in the training of preventive and public health professionals.

Our pedagogical philosophy emphasizes the need for healthcare training institutions to play active roles in addressing societal health challenges. Through a blend of cutting-edge theory, practical simulation, and hands-on community placements, we prepare our students to become competent, confident, and compassionate nurse leaders.

CHNTC is noted for high academic performance and discipline, with a commitment to producing self-motivated, high-calibre nurses with the knowledge and expertise to promote health, prevent diseases, and carry out rehabilitative activities in Ghana.
